Nicole Brown, Psy.D., MPA

Founder and Executive Director

Dr. Brown earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, where she served as the first post-doctoral fellow at the Graduate School of Education and Psychology. She also holds a Master of Arts in Psychology from Pepperdine and a Master of Public Administration with a focus on Nonprofit Management from California State University, Bakersfield.

With over 18 years of experience in human services, Dr. Brown has built a diverse and impactful career. She completed an APA-accredited internship at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Los Angeles, served as a student affairs professional in higher education for seven years, and taught as an adjunct faculty member for five years. She also contributed to California Lutheran University’s Clinical Psychology doctoral program as a visiting lecturer and Interim Director of Clinical Training. Additionally, Dr. Brown has extensive experience working in various mental health settings and has developed behavior-modification-based social skills groups for children and adolescents with ADHD, anxiety, and Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Dr. Brown’s expertise extends to conducting comprehensive behavioral, psychological, psychoeducational, and neuropsychological assessments for individuals across the lifespan. In addition to providing individual, couple, and family therapy, she offers executive coaching on topics including human resources, conflict resolution, nonprofit development, sports performance, and diversity. She also delivers corporate training and consultation in areas such as work stress and conflict management, premarital and couples therapy, multicultural issues in psychotherapy, parenting, social skills development, and educational challenges for students of all ages.

A passionate and engaged professional, Dr. Brown is an active member of several prestigious organizations, including the California Psychological Association, California Psychology Internship Council, Postpartum Support International, Perinatal Mental Health Alliance for People of Color, MENSA International, and American MENSA, among others. She holds an ASPPB Interjurisdictional Practice Certificate and is licensed to practice psychology in California, Colorado, Idaho, and Texas.
